Overview for Gauss
**I attach the brief from another design of mine which shares a lot of points, like materials, safety provisions and electrical equipment (batteries used are 5x12000mAh Turnigy Graphene, suitable for the motors it has.***
Gauss is a wide blended wing body with 4 lifter motors and 1 pusher characterized by a large payload bay (with 10 times the required volume). It is easily accessible from below allowing fast and simple automated transfer.
It has a minimum drag in forward flight, so it can carry up to 6 kg of payload to 100 km and 7,3 kg to 60 km.
Very stable and efficient in hover mode thanks to the large propellers and their spacing around the center of gravity.
It doesn't need an extra tail surface as each control surface, (2 together per wing), act either as an elevon or ruddervator, thus controlling pitch, roll and yaw.

Apart from that it has all the necessary active and passive stability surfaces: swept back and vertical surfaces correct yaw (and pitch too), large wingspan corrects roll movement, washout improves stall and speed transition performances, elevons with drag rudders acting symmetrically or asymmetrically control every movement and even help decelerating the UAV in transition mode.
