We are pleased to announce the launch of our next Modular Logistics Vehicle Challenge -- MLV: Refined.
In this Challenge we are asking you to take inspiration from the winning designs from the MLV Design Challenge and refine, re-design, or create a new modular vehicle.
This challenge is going to go a bit further, looking at not just the design but also the engineering, paying attention to how the modules function, how they connect, as well as materials, weight, and manufacturing methods. And the most exciting part, after the Challenge ends, we are going to build a proof of concept based on the winning design.
In the project update, Explaining the Modular Logistics Vehicle Co-creation Plan, we elaborated on the MLV co-creation project structure. Using a two challenge approach to the project allowing us to develop broad concepts, then refining and redesigning based on the results of the initial design challenge. This second challenge takes inspiration from the winning entries and turns them into realistic ideas that answers the needs of the Marines.
Accepting Submissions: March 6th - April 8th
Validation & Revision: Through April 22nd
Winners Announced: Around May 1st
This challenge is intense, and we don’t expect you to do it alone (though you certainly have the option to do so). Take a look at the brief, then reach out to the community to team up with in the discussions, and start your entry early.
